Who we are

Our story

In 1993, a group of professionals formed by Entrepreneurs, Prosecutor and Lawyer who shared the objective of contributing to society through the exercise of citizenship, through the provision of social services, working with the surrounding community and people in situations of social vulnerability, violation of rights, weakened or broken family ties.

At the time, with the demand that arose, the "Casa de Apoio" appeared, offering shelter to HIV-positive mothers and their children and for people on the street with or without specific serology, in addition to actions aimed at protection social and food security.

The reception took place through spontaneous search, referral by the Judiciary or Guardianship Councils, with those served from the City of Suzano and others within the National Territory who did not count the service in the region of origin.

Based on the changes in the social assistance context, with changes in some legislation such as ECA (Wording given by Law nº 12,010, 2009) and with the new proposal of SUAS / NOB / and NOB / RH, National Type of Social Assistance Services and Guide to Technical Guidance: Reception Service for Children and Adolescents, 2009 it was necessary to restructure the services, since the Institution served several segments. With this awareness of inclusion and non-segregation and guarantee of rights, IBVV started to specialize in assisting children and adolescents in situations of personal and social risk, in the institutional reception segment, however, other demands arose in the Municipality throughout of time and that started to be also executed as, Service of Coexistence and Strengthening of Links, Socio-Educational Measure of Assisted Freedom, Institutional Reception for Women Victims of Violence.

The Objective of the Beneficente Viva a Vida Institute is to offer a Social Protection Service in the form of Institutional Reception with exceptional and temporary character to children and adolescents of both sexes, under protection measure, guaranteeing the maintenance of groups with bonds of kinship, in accordance with the Legislation in force as Statute of the Child and Adolescent, Technical Guidelines for the Reception Services for Children and Adolescents, National Type of Social Assistance Services, Law 13.257 / 16, Norm of Municipal Orientation and Municipal Plan of Reception, guaranteeing qualified reception, integral and integrated protection, favoring non-stigmatization and segregation based on the participation of the community in the daily life of the welcomed and of them in the actions and spaces of the community contributing to the guarantee of their rights, developing actions that promote the rescue of family bonds and community, besides cooperating for the exercise of autonomy social media and financial risk of users and their families and / or legal guardians for qualified termination of the service.
